Lucky 7 is a blog challenge passed along to me by friend and fellow author RJ McDonnell.
The challenge is to blog 7 lines from unpublished works of fiction. Here are the instructions sent by RJ:
1. Go to page 7 or 77 in your current manuscript (fiction or non-fiction)
2. Go to line 7
3. Post on your blog the next 7 lines, or sentences, as they are – no cheating
4. Tag 7 other authors to do the same.

Here are the 7 lines on page 7 from my unpublished novel Best Left Buried, in the works.

"You ladies want dessert?" He gave us a big smile.

"No," Sara said.

"We are going to get our own, but thanks." I told him.

"Okay then. See you later." He returned to his car with his eyes on me the whole time.

"What are you gonna do, go out with him?" Sara asked.

"I dunno," I said with a shrug. "Maybe."

"What about your mom and dad? They're not gonna like this."
